Masih berbunyi nada bicara Kesekian kali telah kucoba Gelisah datang tiada terundang Mengajak prasangka Mengulik keadaan Kuhela napas panjang Menyesali waktu yang terbuang Yang kuharapkan Dapat bercakap denganmu Mengulas rencana kedatanganku tertunda Yang kuharapkan Kau mengerti kan sebabnya Namun halangan merintangi hasrat itu Bila rencana tiada tertunda Mungkin kenyataan tak kujumpa Gelisah datang tiada terundang Mengusik prasangka Didalam keadaan Kucoba nomor itu Masih tak terjawab Kuhela napas panjang Menyesali waktu yang terbuang Namun kuyakin bukanlah itu sebabnya Hanyalah waktu yang kupinta belum ada Yang kuharapkan Dan kurindu dalam kalbu Bercanda kata mengurangi sikap ragu

about

Fariz RM was indeed very productive in the early 80's. In addition to diligently releasing solo albums, he also diligently formed side bands and 'supergroups', including teh acclaimed Transs (here on Bandcamp with their sole release from 1981), WOW!, Jakarta Rhythm Section, Superdigi, GIF and - of course - Symphony, one of the most endeared by the big Indonesian audience.
Symphony was formed by Fariz (on Vocals and Bass) together with Ekki Soekarno on the drums, Herman Gelly Effendi on the keyboards and Jimmy Paais on the electric guitar. Their fresh approach to a crossover between Pop Kreatif and Progressive music was immediately well received by the market.
This release,"Trapesium" (1982), represents the debut of the supergroup, and it is by far their most famed and sought-after album to date, much respected in the industry and featured in the 150 Best Indonesian Albums Ever list compiled by Rolling Stone magazine.
It counts various famous hits, from "Sirkus Optik Dan Video Game" to "Astoria", from "An..." to "Interlokal", a song said to have been created based on a true story: Fariz's experience dating Oneng Diana, who later became his wife. Their distance at that time, Fariz in Jakarta and Oneng in Semarang, made the 'long distance domestic call ('Interlokal' as it is in local language)' event a mandatory one for communication. This idea was poured by Fariz into songwriting and it turned out to be a hit.
However, probably the most significant classic of the album is the instrumental "Sepertigapuluh-Dua", a notable instrumental piece of Progressive music that can match up with the best ones of that era internationally.
