The figure of Fariz RM is arguably the reformer of the Indonesian music industry in the early 80s. Through its progressive music genre, its albums such as "Sakura" and "Panggung Perak" became a milestone in the changing musical era that influenced the journey of Indonesian pop music. Fariz's big name was certainly a pretty high selling power at the time, so when Fariz formed a group called Jakarta Rhythm Section with fellow musicians and friends Bagoes AA and Deddy Dhukun, upon release of this debut album, the image which was put forward was precisely the figure of Fariz. So if you only look at the cassette cover, people would think this album is Fariz's solo album. If on his solo album Fariz prefers to do everything himself, in this group album, of course, Fariz shares duties with other personnel and some guest musicians involved such as Harry Sabar, Hafil Perdanakusuma and Iwan Majid. One can hardly distinguish between solo projects and group projects because the output is almost the same. Pesona Rindu's mainstay song glided smoothly through Fariz's voice and had become a radio hit at the time of release. It was not only Fariz who sang on this album, because Bagoes AA, Deddy Dhukun and Tonny Wenas also performed with their voice. This album seems to be indeed still sinking under the big name Fariz, and it was only with the next album, REINKARNASI, that the super-group finalised its own identity as a band.
